We hear from Dave Gardiner, founder of Evergreen Insurance, about his love for the great outdoors and why Evergreen has joined our corporate network.

With a lifelong passion and interest in nature and wildlife I have created the insurance brand Evergreen Insurance Services. Having worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years I wanted to do something to give back, to help support charities such as the Campaigns for National Parks.

National Parks provide important natural services that improve the quality of the air we breathe, reduce the threat of flooding, are home to endangered species. Despite all of this, the Parks remain at risk from dangerous deregulation and pressure from developers. That is why we are proud to support Campaign for National Parks. Evergreen has partnered with the Campaign for National Parks protecting and improving the National Parks of England and Wales creating living landscapes to help people connect with nature and live more sustainably.

We have also helped support several charities with projects ranging from the protection of bees, butterflies, African Lions along with funding education projects for schools and working with the conservationists of the future.

The concept for Evergreen was driven by my desire to provide excellent service to customers, personally and professional whilst supporting the natural world.  As an insurance broker Evergreen earns commission from insurers for placing business with them, I don’t want to be greedy about income and don’t have shareholders concerned about the bottom line – it is a business so need to make an income from Evergreen but also doing the right thing and supporting our natural world.  For every £1 in commission I earn, I donate 10% in yr / 15% in yr 2 and 25% in yr 3 and for the lifetime of the policy to help support good causes.
