Ramblers Walking Holidays begun life in 1946 which makes us only slightly older than the National Parks Act celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. Back then we knew how important and inspiring the countryside can be and the life changing experiences we can all have in these special places. As a walking-holiday specialist we know that this is truer than ever and a #SummerofAdventure is perfect way to celebrate.

What you might consider an adventure will differ to the next person reading this. Some of you will find a brisk hike to be extremely thrilling, whereas for some of you, spotting livestock and elusive songbirds can be quite the adventure. Whatever your interests are, you’d be surprised by the variety of life changing adventures on offer in the Parks and why we are able to offer something to everyone.

Walking the Settle Valley, the great ridge walks of the Lake District or the winding coast of Pembrokeshire can help you discover something new about the world you live in and perhaps something new about yourself – that’s what separates an adventure from something you do to something that changes you.
