Free guided walks and natural art workshops taking place on 30 July across all the National Parks to mark our 80th anniversary

2016 is a very special year for us as we mark our 80th anniversary. We’re very proud of all our achievements over the last eight decades!

To celebrate, we’re delighted to be teaming up again with campaigning organisation 38 Degrees to run free guided walks and natural art workshops in all of the National Parks in the UK on the 30 July.

In addition to a walk, there’s also the opportunity to take part in a natural art workshop which will be curated by landscape artist Richard Shilling and hosted by local artists. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the local environment, collect natural materials, and create your own unique piece of art work. Everyone is welcome, both adults and children.

Sarah Gillespie a landscape fine-artist involved said,

“My work is mainly to do with the things I experience in nature. The National Parks are incredibly important. If we’re out of sight of nature, if we don’t see the stars at night, the clouds passing the horizon in the day, we are less as human beings. Do visit your National Park. Give yourself the gift of sitting still for an hour. You’d be amazed at what will come to you.”

“We must support our National Parks… visit them, talk about them. They are us at our best. If we don’t support our National Parks and we lost them, we would be diminished. I’m celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Campaign for National Parks with 38 Degrees.”

Please get in touch if you have any questions about the walks, otherwise, see you there!
